CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
CHANGE
Qualified candidates are young women between the ages of 17 and
25, a graduate of high school by June 2007, have never been
married/divorced/pregnant, and must live, work or have attended
school in the Hopkins OR Minnetonka School Districts.

There's nothing to lose! Pizza is "on us", so is a $5 Caribou
card for each person that comes.

Becoming
a Senior Ambassador Candidate?
|
ORGANIZATIONS
AND CLUBS WITHIN HOPKINS DISTRICT 270 - are eligible to submit one
man and/or woman as a member of those honored. From All the
honorees the judges will select two person to act as the 2005/2006
Royalty Ambassadors -
Individuals may also participate without having been
nominated
|
You must be at least
55 years old
Be a United States citizen
Be a resident, employee or volunteer in Hopkins or School
District #270
You do not have a spouse who is a current candidate
You have not run more than two times previously

What will I do?
|
Ambassadors will be required to attend the following.
Hopkins
Raspberry Festival Parade
Christmas
in the Park –Treelighting
Hopkins St. Patricks Day
Parade
Aquatennial Torchlight Parade
Festival Family
Day
Music In The
Park Kickoff
Junior, Royalty, and Senior Coronations
You may attend additional parades and activities
as you like.

Are there financial details I
should know? YES
|
Should you be chosen, you will receive, from the Festival:
Wardrobe allowance not to exceed ( $ 500 in 2002 )
Ambassadors will keep their crown, silk flowers, sceptor &
officer’s hat.
If an Ambassador competes as Aquatennial royalty, additional
wardrobe funds may be requested
Seniors are responsible for their own transportation to and from
events
Srs. are responsible for their own expenses at events
including lodging, food, gas, etc.
Cold weather apparel is the responsibility of the Srs. themselves.
Upon completion of their reign,
each (of two) ambassador will receive an honorarium for
their service.

2001/2002
Schedule
Royalty agrees and
understands that serving as a goodwill ambassador for the
Festival is a significant commitment of time during the term of
their service to the Festival. They agree that they will make
themselves available for all Festival related events and they
will be expected to make all appearances requested by the
Festival, unless excused by the Royalty Coordinator for good
cause.
Parents
or legal guardians of Junior Royalty agree that they will serve
as chaperons at Festival
events, as requested by the Festival, from time to time, and
Junior Royalty shall be chaperoned AT ALL TIMES.

The Festival provides
Wardrobe as needed to meet festival
requirements.
A savings bond upon completion of Junior's
service to the Festival.
Hotel accommodations for out-of-town overnight events
(for children & designated chapron).
Junior Royalty will keep their Medallions and crowns and flowers
Cold
weather apparel, for use by Junior Royalty,
returned at end of year.

BECOMING
REIGNING ROYALTY

chosen ?
Review the
2002
schedule for an idea of the commitment you
will make
Royalty
agrees that serving as a goodwill ambassador for
the Festival is a significant commitment of time. They will make
themselves available for all Festival related events and they will
be expected to make all appearances requested by the Festival
Royalty
agrees and understands that they are a goodwill ambassador of the
Festival throughout their reign. THIS INCLUDES NON-FESTIVAL EVENTS
AND ACTIVITIES. They agree to conduct themselves in a manner
befitting the honor and dignity of the title that they hold. In the
event of their marriage, pregnancy, resignation, or termination,
their reign shall end immediately.

Yes.
Should you be chosen, you will receive, from the Festival:
Wardrobe: Formal gown, casual
dress(es),
accessories, shoes, & jewelry as required
A scholarship, for education, upon completion of Royalty’s
service to the Festival, payable directly to the school of royalty’s
choice. ($2,500 Queen, $2,000 Princesses in 2004)
Hotel accommodations for out-of-town overnight events.
