Grand Marshall Announced

I am VERY happy to announce the Grand Marshal for the 73rd Annual Hopkins Raspberry Festival and Parade - Dave McCarville. Dave is a well-known member of the Hopkins community as a business-owner, a member of a variety of civic organizations, volunteer extraordinaire, and he is probably one of Hopkins' biggest cheerleaders.

Dave McCarville is not only a wonderful example of someone who gives back to his community in more ways than most could name, but he is also an excellent role model for others to do the same. I am continually amazed at how Dave can be involved in as many community events and organizations that he is, at the same time as raising a wonderful family and keeping such an infectious positive attitude.

I had the opportunity to get to know Dave as he gave of his time selflessly with our youth group from the time I was a small child until I graduated from high school. Throughout that time and until now, Dave has continually shown me the value in giving back to your community, and his enthusiasm in doing so has instilled in me a desire to do the same and continue to pass that enthusiasm to others in as many ways that I can.

Hopkins truly has a remarkable resident in Dave. I know that his continued support for the community, his involvement in so many local organization's endeavors, and his unbelievable optimism have been instrumental into making Hopkins into the wonderful community that it is.

Thank you, Dave, for being such a great part of this community. We are honored to have you serve as our Grand Marshal.
